These assessments use a PAM as reference to compare the process activities in a real project of a software based system with the base practices ( capability level 1) and the generic practices (CL 2-5). Based on ASPICE, VDA defines processes for Cybersecurity Engineering, Cybersecurity Risk Management and Supplier Request and Selection.

AOUA courses are currently offered via automotive clusters and training providers across Europe, and as regular university courses.

Several “Break and Think” sessions will be used for exercises and recap of what has been learnt before. The ISO 56000-based assessment tool applied ISO 33020 for process capability assessment for ISO 56000 and this allows us to determine the capability of ISO 56000 processes. These additional processes are about Supplier Request and Selection, Risk Management and Engineering. The VDA also includes Guidelines and Recommendations for rating techniques in accordance with the NPLF system of ASPICE for processes listed in VDA Scope and for Cybersecurity.
