At the age of twenty-six Sarah only ever wanted the best life for her three-year old son Tommy, and after living four and a half years of hell with Charlie, Tommy's father, a controlling, abusive and very violent man she manages to escape his grip. An Angel came for you is the first book I have recently finished reading written by the author David Howell and this book is full of emotions, love, drama, and reality with empowering storyline. sumptuous watercolor and gouache paintings, embossed with texture and gold foil accents, convey the awesomeness of Jesus' birth in this novel retelling of the Nativity. An original storyline which gripped me from the start,I loved every minute of it and it's one of those books that really gets you thinking. The level of drama in this writing is incredible, i have not read a book like this for a very long time. Now, she has to make the decision: get back with Tommy's dad so Tommy can be reborn, or start again with her first love John. I will admit that the twist was, at first, slightly off putting but it was resolved brilliantly ensuring the story tied together.

Robert Coles, author of The Spiritual Life of Children "It is sheer reading pleasure, enlightenment, insight, the discovery of a side of children many of us never see, a side of ourselves generally masked, a glimpse of history our school texts never touch, and an enrichment of our own spirit. A couple of titles inspired by the lyrics from two songs of yesteryear (piano music included), celebrate paternal love, with illustrations by Maggie Kneen. The book is written lucidly and incorporates everything together like emotions, and mental and physical health, the smooth flow, into this plot was very touching and heart whelming. This is really basic editing and if no one’s taken the time to check the grammar then I’m not going to take the time to read it. Filled with chocolate goodies and a sweet sentimentality, Kneen's story stars a large moose who is hired at the bakery of a tiny mouse family after he misreads a sign that says "Wanted: One Mouse.

The story has a very captivating and creative start which grasp my full attention and kept me hooked to the book until the end.Inside is a trio of children's stories that share an angelic view of death, feelings, and dealing with illness, set in rhyme. When Sarah gets a second chance to relive a part of her life and avoid meeting her abuser, she finds that there is more to lose than just the abuse. It has been displayed in the LDS Conference Center in Salt Lake City, UT, and has appeared in the Ensign Magazine. My only 'small' criticism is the need for more use of 'I'll, I've, You'll' etc - for example, in the characters speech.
