I will probably go for the titanium model for the lighter weight but also thanks to the details in the above review.

Would have also liked the month displayed as well as day and day of month but that’s a minor niggle. Once the battery is on Hi it will stay there as long as you expose the watch to light -wearing it daily or exposing it to light. I know that the S100 uses some kind of special TIC coating which should protect it a bit better than say the Lineages, although it is also heavily polished which might get tarnished. Maybe someone here has held/used one of these with the darker LCD and can confirm if it's usable or not? As far as I can tell the Lineage series are one of Casio's mid-range offerings, and they all feature at least radio control and solar powered movements. This makes changes incredibly easy and removes the need to faff around with push pins, where you’re more likely to scratch the bracelet. thick, although at first glance at the spec sheet you might think this watch has a bigger dial at 40mm across.

It looks good from a distance, with the brushed upper and polished sides, but it’s not as well-done as the dial. I may even begin considering purchasing another Lineage (for a total of two) and a similar set of questions presents itself when comparing the M300 and M600 series of Casio watches (all of which are steel with no titanium options. My only complaint, and it is a small one, is that the band could be more adjustable, I wish there was a half link available. Overall, does exactly what I wanted a watch to do, which is look stylish and be analog, as well as have the ability to keep track of a second time zone GMT for when I travel (it has world time, in this case, even better), have an alarm (it has like 5), stopwatch (also has a countdown timer as well), and a month/date/year function.

It's light, it's thin, it's well proportioned, and it comes with features that more expensive (read: automatic watches) couldn't dream of. I wish the Lineage range was available in the UK so I could try them in person before deciding which to go for, I think the 5161 module is pretty close to perfect. Also I better not MISS that four minute setting otherwise I'll have to go all the way back through ninety nine minutes again. In addition to the calendar function, it has world time, time alarm, stopwatch, timer function, etc. Showering and bathing is possible with this watch - it is tested for water resistance up to 5 bar according to ISO 22810.
