has no ending, in fact it kind of depends on the fact it has no ending, and I commend it to you without reservation. When they subsequently go out for a walk, George stops himself from chomping on the cake (that is part of someone’s picnic), stops himself from chasing a cat (who is surprised), and stops himself from digging. In this hilarious read-aloud by the multiple award-winning author-illustrator of A Bit Lost and Shh! Chris Haughton's fetchingly funny story and vibrant, retro illustrations are sure to lure dog lovers of all ages--and anyone who has ever met a temptation too good to resist. Enjoy Chris Haughton's brilliant picture book about a dog who is trying to be good - really, really trying.

This is all done on a level that a child would understand, giving them a chance to explore their own feelings on wanting to do things that they aren’t allowed to do. It's good to open up discussions about what they'd do in George's place and what they actually should do in George's place! There are three temptations in the book a cake, cat, and flowers which each appear twice in the book. Chris Haughton is the author-illustrator of Little Owl Lost , his debut picture book, which won the 2011 Marion Vannett Ridgway Award.

At first, she just didn't engage with this one and I think it was because the illustrations are very retro and impressionistic. This illustrations are simple but "funny as all get out", and I fell I love with the expressions on George's face! When George gets ‘found out’ he feels very guilty, in the same way a young child would and then he gets the chance to make things better. I got this book as part of the Chris Haughton Boxed Set:This has to be my favourite book from the whole collection of Chris Haugton picture books I've read!

It is delightful for the tinies and delightful for the grown-ups, and its charm does not diminish on repeated readings which is vital in a kids' book. He then shows he has learned his lesson by abstaining from all of the temptation he meets on his daily walk, namely a cat and dirt and many of the same temptations he met previously. George is faced with situtations which are tempting with his conscience reminding him that it would be bad to go through with it.

In 2007, he was named one of Time magazine's Design 100 for his work for Fair Trade and People Tree. For their first exhibition they asked 18 artists to each design a rug for the Design Museum in London. Oh No George' came out in March 2012 and has been nominated for 6 awards in 4 countries including the Roald Dahl Funny award. This could be a great starting point for a discussion with the class to find out what they think he might do. George, the hero of this dog-behaving-badly story from Haughton (LITTLE OWL LOST), hits the canine trifecta: oversize snout, floppy ears, and an anguished expression.

Being a Booktrust Best New Illustrator 2011, you'd expect Chris Haughton's artwork to be amazing - but the sophisticated rich jewel colour palette offers both adults and children something beautiful to look at.which is a brilliant opportunity to stop and discuss what George should do, why he should be good etc. Another feature of the illustrations is that whenever George has spotted or is considering to do something naughty, we see only his profile view showing his purpose 'towards' something. Have read this over and over and kids feel drawn into George's naughtiness, his having to say sorry, and then .

This board book is small and has thick board pages that are filled with colourful illustrations and some text. e dog meets temptation, asks moral question, reader is asked what they think will happen and then George gives in to the temptation.Adapted from the award-winning picture book by Chris Haughton, this brand new show for everyone aged 3+ uses acrobatics, slapstick comedy, Sign Supported English and live music to bring George’s chaotic and joyful escapades to life. However for George the cake looks just too delicious to resist and we are shown him having gobbled it all up. Readers will also be able to follow the plot by studying George's expressive face as he feels many different emotions.
